Investors vs Traders :

Yesterday when i met one of my investor friend, he asked me "Are you an investor or a trader ?" My answer was both, i am an investor and also a trader.

What is the difference between investors and traders ?

In my view, they are different in term of investing period. Investors have longer term of investing period than traders. This is why people who are doing day trading are called day traders, instead of day investors.

What is the similarity between investors and traders ?

In my view, Investors and traders have the same basic investing principle. They buy Invest Tool at lower price and sell Invest Tool at higher price in order to get profit.

So, we can be both, investors and traders, at the same time, right ?
